"Cinco Siglos Igual" by Leon Gieco with A.N.I.M.A.L, Spanish-English Lyrics Translation

Solitude over ruins.
Blood on grain,
Red and yellow.
Fountain of poison.
Wounded shields.
5 centuries unchanged.

Liberty with no galop.
Battered, torn flags.
Pride and lies.
Gold and silver medals
Against hope.
5 centuries unchanged.

On this part of the earth,
History fell
As stones fall,
Yet some touch the heavens
Or are close to the sun.
Or are close to the sun.

Unlove, Unfound.
Forgive and forget.
Body with mineral.
Hard working towns.
Infancies empoverished.
5 centuries unchanged.

Loyalty over tombs.
Sacred stones.
God had no chance to cry.
A long nightmare.
Children of no one.
Five centuries unchanged.

Death against life.
The glory of a people
Disappeared.
It's beginning, it's ending.
Legend lost.
Five centuries unchanged.

On this part of the earth.
History fell
As stones fall,
Yet some touch the heavens
Or are close to the sun.
Or are close to the sun.

It's flowers at dusk.
Revolutions
And though many are no longer with us
Never did anyone think
To kiss your feet.
Five centuries unchanged.

A.D.D. Explained

"I Can't Quite Put My Finger on It" by Ted the Block

the inner circle in the corner of the square,

raising the bar that lies repaired.

the events are in our hands,

dropping balls whenever they can.

i can't quite put my finger on it

it’s time. tip-toe.

we grow roses in my brain.

plucking off the petals

of the feelings. i feign,

“i love them i love them not.”

intruding my years through indelible colonies

the insects are plodding. never get on the knees

if i could i’d be a bug

mindless work all day long.

i can't quite put my finger on it

still lying. unblinking.

in unending surprise.

I haven’t discovered

what, when, how or why

trying to find

a rhythm in the madness

trying to find

a pattern in the sadness

i can't quite put my finger on it
